I have 6 cats and 2 dogs and they are my children. Their names you ask? Dogs first: Mika and Annie; Annie is my hearing companion. The cats: Callie, Zoe, Gracie, Sophie, Abbie, and Tigger. I love my children.

I have four dogs,
Rascal (15) years old, he's deaf , and blind but I have had him since '95 (peke)
Risky Business (4), his name came out of a Blizzard, my mother named him (shitz zuh)
Sugar Bear (4), i rescued her from some mean people (shitz zuh)
Sophie (11/2) she had seven puppies,2 died, and the others are in good homes (mixed breed)

Funny story about the name of my dog

"Roo Roo"

She is a Boxer-Staffordshire mix and I got her as a very young puppy.

When trying to think of a name for her I tried to use aspects that I found interesting about her. At the time I was living with someone who had multiple other dogs that my 8 week old puppy LOVED to BOX with...literally she would get up on her little puppy paws and hit the other dogs in the face. It was great.

Every time she would get a good hit in someone would say "BOOM"

so I started calling her Boomer.

However, she would never answer to the name (I should have known better as we are DEF NOT Oklahoma fans ;) )

I was getting frustrated as she was just not learning...however as time went on I started adding little endings to the name as one will when getting closer to their pets...I started calling her Boomer-roo

Her ears always perked up at the end of the phrase...I started to notice that she would come after I added the ending...eventually she would answer just to the 'roo' part of the name...

I fugure she knew what she wanted to be called I just had to figure it out.

SO "ROO ROO" it is :)
