Our PlaylistMy girlfriend is my best friend and we've had a very rocky past together, breaking up and fighting and arguing. She's cheated on me a couple times before. But I'm not without fault either, I push her away time and time again and go through times when I don't talk to her at all for days, weeks. But we've always come back to each other, we know we're meant for each other. We've known each other for four, five years now. We actually started out our friendship with arguments and sarcasm...and then we made up the same day and then we were pretty much inseparable. We've laughed together, cried together, played and fought and spent hours doing nothing but talking about everything under the sun. We keep nothing from each other, we share all our secrets. Even before we knew the truth of our sexualities, we were hugging and holding hands and saying I love you to each other. And it grew, it grew from a little seed into a garden and this is the time that decides everything for us. We're together forever now...or never again. And there's no chance of us ever separating again. We both realized we're for forever, and we started dating again on Valentine's Day. On the 14th this month, it'll be our one-month anniversary, and I've been putting all my effort into making things to give back to her everything I've taken over the years. I know material things don't matter, but I want her to feel appreciated and loved and every bit as much of an angel as she is to me.
That's why the first part of the plan that I've worked on for so long is a playlist full of the songs we've shared with each other that remind us of the other. I was aiming for 100 but around 30 I started flailing for ideas, so now it's an even 50...and I don't think it could be more perfect. It has songs like F****n Perfect by Pink, Collide by Howie Day, several by Skillet, Thunder and The Great Escape by Boys Like Girls, some by Nickelback, Taylor Swift..just everything I could dredge up that I knew we told each other about. And the very last one is a video of True Friends by Hannah Montana..which is the very first one we ever shared.
