Here's Mine, In No Particular Order

The Shawshank Redemption

V for Vendetta

Matrix Trilogy

LOTR Trilogy

I know I'm kinda cheating by picking trilogies, but hey it's my list and if you don't like it you can get bent. Both of these trilogies are basically one continuous movie, anyway. Also, this list is not exactly written in stone for me. There are many other movies which I could see placing in my favorites, movies such as Casablanca, To Kill A Mockingbird, 12 Angry Men, Good Will Hunting, Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Aliens, Terminator 1 & 2, 300, Memento, Primer, Love Actually, and Hoosiers.

I have seen all the movies you've mentioned and I love them all, except Love Actually, and well... putting The Shawshank Redemption first. The rest is nice :)

LOVE Momento - fantastic flick. I always recommend this to all my friends.
I disagree on Wall E (could be because all I watch are cartoons) but Hells yeah on the rest.
I love the trilogies listed - but like most - the Matrix I was the best - always has been always will be.

ALL the LOTR are great - but the 1st one stops me on that channel EVERYTIME it is one (I can not flip - it's liek my hands want to, but brain will not engage!).

Fight Clug - need I say more?? freaking fantastic flick.

I am SO glad you listed ALIENS - this is my favorite in this serires, and the same thing with the clicker nor clicking happens when this is on too! I was stuck one morning at 205am when I flicked on this channel and it was gust starting. I was sucked in!!!
Great choices again.

I really liked Memento, too. I don't find many people who even could follow it. I thought the structure of the story moving from end to beginning was brilliant.
