A Beautiful Language, Found By Accident

I became interested in Portuguese from the "Ender's Game" series of books years ago.....words that I could ALMOST understand.....Recently, I found a local radio station in Northern CA that has several hours of programming in the language one day a week.  Also recently, I was browsing at the library in the CDs and I found a CD by Cesaria Evora...it's been in my CD player every day driving to work this week....especially her song "Tiempo Y Silencio" (Time and Silence)....absolutely beautiful, and guaranteed to pierce through the marine layer of an overcast San Francisco morning.
