So Many Lies

Alright, lets look at some of the "facts" as per the teachings of the Mormon / LDS Church:

The LDS / Mormon Church was "established" in 1820 by Joseph Smith, who was then 15, through visions that he had.

I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me…..When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, ….One of them spake unto me, callin me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him….I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right….and which I should join….I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt…. (Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith-History 1:17-19)

At the age of 18, Joseph Smith received three visits from the Angel Moroni who revealed the location of the golden plates and warned him to 10 wait 4 years before seeking them out and 2) never to show them to anyone.   (An interesting fact: the original name of the angel was Nephi, but this was changed in the official scriptures)

(Personal note: 4 years would have been enough time for anyone to crete something to be later found, especially if these items were to actually never be seen by anyone else but him.)

From 1827 to 1829 Joseph Smith found and used these golden plates to translate what is today known as the Book of Mormons. The Book of Mormon when completed was sent to the Palmyra printers on March 25th, 1830. The Rochester Newspapers reviewed the book under the headlines: “Blashemy”! This was rather brutal considering that the book was meant to be the TRUE and RESTORED words of the Lord.

Now between its publication date of March 25th, 1830 and today, the book which was supposed to be the TRUE and RESTORED words of God has been modified, changed, adapted nearly 4000 times, some of these changes were simple changes of words such as "niger" to "negro" while others were more pronounced and impacted the very belief of the church as a whole such as polygamy.

If Joseph Smith translated these tablets correctly, which by the way were taken back by Moroni thus insuring that no physical proof could ever support his claims, should any modification to the book be looked upon as sacreligious? These are the TRUE and RESTORED words of the Lord, so should they not be accurate from the start? On the other hand, if Joseph Smith mis-transalted the tablets, what other errors did he make? This of course is under the assumption that Joseph Smith was not a simple man with delusions of grandeurs or worst a crook hoping to get money from the farmers of the time who would actually believe his wild claims.

From there the lies only multiply at an alarming rate to the point where we are today; which means that members of the church not only lie to anyone outside of the church but also to themselves in claiming to be Christians when the person they follow as Jesus Christ is a completely different person then the one mentioned in the Holy Bible.

Instead of an Immaculate Conseption, the Mormon Heavenly Father actually took Mary and fathered Jesus (how truly Zeus of him). Jesus and Satan are brothers and that all dark skinned people are in league with the Evil One. The Mormon Jesus went as far as having three wives himself and was nothing more than a mortal man seeking to attain godhood as his own father had.

Mormons want to believe all of this and more, that is their right. They want to follow lies set down from the very first words spoken by their greatest prophet, that sis again their choice. What I do not accept is that they openly LIE when claiming to be Christians because there are no doubts that the man they believe to be Jesus is in no way the Jesus Christ of the Bible that true Christians follow and cherish.

Sorry fo the typos, on a ipad, this page is dumb, mormons are christians. Good day sir.

LOL - well, that is your opinion, one born of the lies fed to you by them. The faith originated from lies, by a con man who wanted to be more than he was. His lies were added to and made into a faith that is nothing more than a delusion shared by far too many good people.

LDS / Mormons are wrong in so many ways, it is truly a crime for them to even believe they are anywhere close to being in line with Christ.
