I Want to Live In a Free Country
Fourth of July is a great day to be a patriot. We are reminded of all the sacrifices of our forefathers and generations of soldiers who gave it all for the freedoms we all enjoy today. It is a day of back yard bbq celebrations, parades, and fireworks. We raise our flags and wear the colors of this great nation and give thanks for all we have.
Our nation is once again under attack, however, and while we are celebrating the birthday of the greatest nation in the world, our freedoms are, bit by bit, being taken away. We can no longer pray in our schools, display symbols of our faith in public places, and we are now being challenged as to the national language and all the tenets this United States of America was built on.
My gggggrandfather, Col. James Barrett ("the shot heard round the world"), one of our nations great patriots of the Revolutionary War, is no doubt, rolling over in his grave to hear and see what is happening to the country that he so loved and sacrificed so much in his fight for freedom. He shudders at the thought of all the taxes that are being imposed on his decendents and the disrespect of the American flag. He cringes at the idea of leaders that put their own wants and desires above those of we the people.
It's a disgrace that we are now living in a time when we are being forced by our government to embrace a health care system and other mandates that take away our powers of decision on what is best for our families. We are being double and triple taxed so that we can take care of illegal aliens who want to take away our unalienable rights and replace them with their disparaging beliefs, while taking over our country. Yes, we are passively and aggressively under attack by our government and the illegal aliens they protect. Take heed, Americans, there is a not so hidden agenda here.
It's time to take back our country by voting out those leaders who are one by one taking away our freedoms. We the people must take back our country, one vote at a time. It's time to wake up before it's too late.
