I Really Want To Lose Weight...

Ever since i was a child i was always looked at as 'the chubby kid' and it was cute then however as i grew older and realized how much of an impact my weight was making on my health as well as social life i have had the idea to lose weight in the back of my mind for awhile, however the problem is since im not use to eating healthy and/or portions i really don't know what kind of things i should eat and how many calories is each item as well as i have little to no support from my family its just kinda difficult, but i plan on getting a gym membership soon and begin a healthy diet once again... hope i can do it!!

There are no fast and quick tricks to lose weight and the internet is full of gimmicks that will more likely lighten your wallet, than your body weight. It begins with a Conscious choice to change your lifestyle, beginning with excercise, some sort of excercise every day..it can be walking a mile, or jogging, or swimming or tai chi, or yoga , or working out or zumba or anything. Just moving! Second, log what you eat...you should substitute unhealthy fatty foods that have little nutritional value with healthy foods with lots of nutritional value. Cut the mcds kfcs, jack in the box, or any other fast food out as much as possible. Cut out most meats, and dairies as much as possible. Eat vegis with every meal, and I mean steamed or raw. coffee is okay, but leave the creamers out and mostly keep sugar to a serious minimum. Alcohol to a serious minimum. The journey to good health begins with one step. You can be a fanatic and completely overhaul your lifestyle....this is pretty rare, or start making conscious choices in your life every day, and you will see the results. Mostly find the things in your life that bring your stress level down down down. Stress is the main reason people binge on food and gain weight. Meditation, prayer, excercise, listening to music, hiking in nature, whatever is your choice of fun things to do....do it now and make it consistent in your life! Good luck, go with it and although you may not feel motivated now, you will begin to feel energy as you change your lifestyle and eat healthier. ask yourself is it more painful to do some of these things or remain the way I am and potentially face serious life threatening diseases later on?....move every day! good luck to you
