Hi! I feel your pain. I'm 5'11, athletic build, but chunky.

Have you tried using the app "My Fitness Pal"? I've been using it for about a month now and it seems to work pretty well. It's basically a way to track your weight loss and see what exactly you're eating.

The first thing I would do if I were you is start eating more vegetables/fruits and STOP eating so much fast food. Try to replace that hamburger with a salad topped with as many types of veggies/protein (i.e.: chicken/lean meat/fish) as you want and get sliced apples with (or better yet without) caramel dip. Fast food often is very high in sodium which could lead to heart disease/high blood pressure.

Also, limit the amount of sugar you're eating. If you eat too much sugar-- specifically sugar in processed foods-- the chance of your body producing more fat increases.

You should probably aim for less than 2200 mg of sodium and about 25-32 g of sugar per day.

**Learn what a portion size is for each item in your meal! This was a huge thing for me.

And finally (sorry this post is so freaking long) exercise! Ride your bike to the grocery store and buy fresh foods or go for a walk or jog around the neighborhood in between studying for history and english. Your diet is the most important factor, but you should be doing some sort of physical activity 3 times or more a week.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions or need encouragement, feel free to message me.

Hey Brianna! I understand how you feel. I have always been a yo yo dieter and have worked out constantly trying to get weight off. The last 5 years have been very hard for me. I discovered though that it actually is better not to diet but by saying this I mean that you need to change your life. I have been slowly doing this. I learned that it is good to eat breakfast in the morning and to eat small healthy meals. I have started this with a tailored meal plan that comes with a shopping list you can print out and just go shopping. Sometimes I can not abide by the meal plan but have learned to opt for healthy snacks and not weight until I am over the top starving. Everytime i get a craving for a cookie, stop and think about it before reaching and ask yourself exactly what that cookie is doing for you and ask yourself if you are truly hungry. It is hard I know but exercising and eating junk food will not get you to lose weight, but exercising and starving yourself will not get you to lose weight either. I introduced my friend to this system and she has lost 10 lbs in 6 weeks. I know that does not seem like much but think how much that can add up to! I am so excited for her and we cheer each other up. I lost 16 pounds since May and I still need to lose more but the journey to getting what we want is the funnest. I think that you will enjoy learning to eat different and it will be something to look forward to everyday. It is not a negative experience. It has been fun for both of us. I wish you the best but please do get in touch with me if you want to. We can e-mail each other or text and remind each other every day what our goal is. Day by day is all you need!

Get a hold of me if you want to, okay?
