Gave Up The Yo-yo

I am so sick and tired of yo-yoing. one year i lose 102lbs on my own, but then after some emotional trama I gained half back. that was 3yrs ago.
I finally took a step back and looked at my 27years of life. being fat practially since birth i realized i couldnt do this alone.
So Nov 27th 2012, 7days after my 28th birthday i took a huge leap. I went under the knife for gastric bypass (i had the RNY with the little pouch). I am currently 12days post op and already down 21lbs!

Now i would never ever press this on anyone, but if you want someone to talk to about it Im here message me.

Ive been told im not heavy enough. Im 5 4. And been on a yo yo since birth been as low as 122 and as high as 205 . Now im 55 and 172. Would i qualify

your bmi is 30. (im steal this from the book weighloss surgery for dummies)
In order to get surgery you have to meet the criteria.
First- have a BIM of 40 or above, or a BMI of 35 or above with other comorbidities (health related problems that caused or made worse by excess weight.)
second- Failed attempts at dieting.
third- knowledge of the risks and benefits of surgery.

the health probs i mentioned in the first criteria are but not limited to...
heart disease, diabetes, sleep apnea, acid reflux, osteoarthritis, polycystic ovary syndrome(pcos).
if you have multiple problems that would help to get the surgery. I have fibromyalga, high blood pressure, pcos, acid reflux, along with some other milder things. plus i was extremly over weight.

I do reccomend this surgery for others who need it. i am 5wks out today and down 42lbs. I started at 352 a week before surgery, and im now at 310. im 6ft tall and 28yrs old.
Thankfully i have an amazing surgeon that i completely trust, and adore. They are with the center of excellence.
I will warn you THIS is NO easy thing. there have been many days (like 4 out of 7days) where i wished i could undo it because i have been nauseas, not feeling good or not progressing the way i think i should. yes the farther out i get the better im handling things but right now i fight to eat, cause im not hungry. but if you dont eat what they tell you to you could literally starve to death.
become a member of dailystrength.org. and join the Gastric bypass support group. if you get it i think the lap band would be best for you, since its easier to control your weight loss.

10 Fast Weight Lost Diets Tips
