Posted Nov 2nd, 2008 at 1:27AM Not sure when you typed this...but I have the secret you should just TRY. Eat your starches (rice, potatoes, fries) seperately. So example: Dinner. Meat (protein) and Vegetables. This will digest easily and your body will begin to lose weight. My dad lost 55 pounds in 6 months, as well as my mom 45 pounds in 6 months. Pretty simple. | |
Posted Apr 1st, 2009 at 4:22AM hi i have just read your story about your weight loss. I to needed to lose 3 1/2 stone which I have achieved more than 2 years ago and it has stayed off. I joined a Rosemary Conley diet & fitness class here in the UK it is not so much a diet but a healthy eating plan if u want perhaps we can talk keep up the good work and think how good u will feel about yourself | |
Posted Apr 3rd, 2009 at 7:02PM I came to england in 2005 and weighed 82 kilos, was severely ashamed of myself the way i looked . ONce i went to watch football match with my collgues in an open field, some of my mates took some pictures of me without me noticing . next day they pt all pics of the day out including myself on the notice board. I was so apalled the way i looked , that after work i straight away went to the gym and joined it. next day i went to the gym to see so many fit people excercising i wanted to run away , it fealt that i did not belong there , but there was a part of me who stayed on as i was hearing the song " I believ e I can fly" for next 6 months i went to gym every day ,sometimes i was so tired that I used to sleep in gym cafe for 30 mins , wake up and start work out. I was never so detrmined in my life before . I did not stop eating , how ever i gave up smoking after my work out I used to run back home . when i lost my first kilo i was so happy , i never missed a day, in 8 months time i had lost 20 kilos , none of my clothe fitted . I went and bought a smart fitting wardrobe , a suite . seeing this few of my collegues also joined and were fired up. I then go to gym every day , last marh i ran Bath Half Marathon and now i am preparing for new york mararthon. All i know is if you want to achieve something you need to have the detrmionation saying" No matter what it takes I shall achieve this ", Human mind and human body are masterpieces of machinery and software programming which will deliver everything what we want from it. Lets talk about failures i missed gym due to sickness, latenight party but everytime i missed it i worked out harder if i partied hard , i worked out in gym harder. everything is possible , just keep on going , dont get frustrated , insted try to find solutions, go to the gym even iof you dont feel like , after 10 mins you wont the regret it . you will regret if you sit infront of idiot box with packet of crisps. love life , start running | |
Posted Apr 6th, 2009 at 7:38AM This worked for me- Go to mypyramid.com and fill in your information. Based on the calories eat 300 calories less than recommended for 3 weeks then 200 hundred less for three weeks and back to three hundred less. The body grows acustome to your routine after 3 weeks and you plateau and stop growing. Also change the exercise. I plateaued - also known as overtraining. I lost 40 pounds of fat and gained 20 pounds of muscle. I never changed my routine and stopped growing. I've been thinking about doing it again - 3 weeks of weight training and 3 weeks of boot camp training. I was on a body builder diet - 45% Carbs 45% Protien 10% or less fat. The only supplements I took was a multi vitamin and a calcium pill (can't have a lot of milk products on a diet like this)- everything else was in the diet. It worked but I plateaued. If you want to see how long it takes get all three XMEN movies. Hugh Jackmen went in about six years from a lean well built man to 20# short of being a body builder. | |
Posted Apr 6th, 2009 at 1:00PM Remember it's really not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. If you lose the weight and then go back to your old ways it will just come back. Eat healthy and workout everyday for the rest of your life and you will be fine. There is no silver bullet to slay this monster just hard work and burning more then you eat, but keep up the effort and things will work out for you. | |
Posted May 16th, 2009 at 3:31PM I am also trying to lose weight. I know how hard it is. This is not my first time. I'm an emotional eater. I have tried any diet you can name. I had the most success with low carb. Then had another baby. So I'm right back where I started. Gonna give diet pills a try. | |
