I've Done This So Many Times - Discouraged

March 10th - I've been on this weight loss tip for about 6 years now. Ive had 2 personal trainers, I've become a vegetarian and probably at my highest weight yet. 155 pounds - goal 135. I'm feeling discouraged - but today I am trying to cut down on carbs as they have increased while turning a vegetarian. :o(

March 12th - Thank you so much for your comments and encouragement. I wish would have positive news for you regarding my progress. However, it seems to have gone downhill. I have never gone to this way of thinking where I feel overloaded with info, tried it all, and still feeling as though I just cannot do anything right. "SoulApocrypha" thanks for your comment. I just may need a professional nutritionist to guide me in the right direction. "truthinker" Sparkpeople.com is AMAZING! absolutely AMAZING. Exactly what I need right now, it written out in detail from what food to intake, and also level of exercise including workout breakdown. I just need to get over this hump, and get back on the positivity track. I just cannot deal with trying ANOTHER lifestyle change with no results. I am searching for an automatic email subscription that relays good quality motivational quotes in regards to physical health. Anybody have any recommendations? new Ajax.InPlaceEditor('cedit_1604799', '/ajax/edit_entry_comment.php', {rows:5,cols:60,callback: function(form, value) { return 'c=1604799&e=480906&comment=' + escape(value) }});

There are a lot of factors that contribute to unsuccessful dieting. Metabolic rate, physical activity, marconutrient proportions, timing of meals, etc can influence your ability to lose weight. Also, the initial loss of body weight (which includes lean body mass) instead of body fat would negatively impact your ability to burn calories over time.<br />

There is some evidence that the body can adapt (i.e., not respond) to a diet in a similar manner that you adapt to a given exercise. A skilled nutritionist can help you properly cycle your carb ratios and ensure that you still meet your weekly caloric goals. Good luck.

Have you consulted a nutritionist to help you set up a balance program for you to help you attain your goal? Best of luck!

cutting carbs does work but dont on it too long not good for you!
