It Is So Hard.

I have been struggling to lose weight and keep it off since I was 15 and I was never really overweight when I was a teen but always hated my body. I had a baby recently and he really took a toll on my body. I am now very overweight in my opinion. I am 5"9 and 225 lbs. I don't know how to effectively lose weight and resist all the temptations. I have done lower calorie diets in the past and that is the only thing that ever worked so that is what I am doing now. I have been exercising regularly for about a month and have gained weight uuuggghhhhhhhhhh. It is quite discouraging when I see that. I know that muscle is heavier than fat but I don't think it's muscle.

I have been keeping a journal and that helps immensely. I try to eat 1400 calories a day and watch all of the other nutritional content to make it more balanced. I find it hard to resist my favorite foods and I keep doing this. I will diet and exercise for a while but then I fall off the wagon and it happens over and over. I worry a lot that I am going to get diabetes because it runs in the family and I don't want that. I don't feel like I am that big, I am a very large boned person and most of my fat sits on my belly but I need to do something permanent. I NEVER used to be this big until I got pregnant and it is so hard to accept my new body and try to make changes and balance everything in life all at the same time.

The previous tip is correct; but it does not go far enough, throughout the day, you should make water your drink of choice. Anyone will lose weight by reading and following the right information; as such, being healthy is a lifestyle, not a diet! There are many good tips on how to achieve permanent weight loss; none of them includes gimmicks, diets, or diet pills. To assist with weight control; keep a daily food journal and every time the urge to snack is felt, first drink a large glass of clear water. It does not hurt to treat yourself with something special once in a while, what is necessary is that you moderate your food portions. Being overweight ******, but after reading a book, I lost 85 pounds! Words can not express how good I feel! This is a comment which I recently received about the book Lose Weight Using Four Easy Steps

have you considered a more physically demanding job? i was a snow removal contractor for a month and a half and i lost 20 lbs during that time. good luck with losing that weight :)
