Question About Housing

If my soldier is already stationed somewhere and we want To get married courthouse. How long will it take for us To get a house on base? What process do we have to go through ?

    I have a friend (or w/e u want to call her lol) who moved with her husband after he came from deployment it took about a month and a half for them to get on house basing but it varies depending on base...if the base housing wait is to long then you can visit off-base housing referral section (which is within the Housing Office). they give you a list of local renters that list themselves with the base, once you find where u would like to rent, you take a copy of the lease back to the housing office so they can check the "military clause" which is making sure the lease can be broken if need be..also you could stay in a base hotel but only for 30 days i believe b4 you have to pay out of pocket..but you still get your authorized housing allowance.
