I have a nice little herb garden growing in pots on my deck. I like to make my own herb flavored vinegars. Taragon is my favorite but I make one with sage, basil, and majoram for use with spaghetti and salad. To make a vinegar you put the herbs in a container then poor a better quality vinegar over them. After they have steeped to your taste you then put them in bottle with a shut down lid. The bottles with the metal wire top that seals. It's best to use the brown glass bottles. I like to hang my herbs in the kitchen upside down with string. When dry I put the part I want to keep in a spice bottle that I have cleaned for reuse.
