Late Submission

I hope nobody will come throwing things at me because they've had enough of this, lol. I still owe naranja and Sigma07 a story so here it goes.
 1. As some of you already know, I am no longer a teacher. I resigned my job as a teacher and am now working from home, writing freelance. It's kinda sad not being able to call myself a teacher anymore but it's over and done with.
 2. I don't look forward to weekends anymore. Now that I'm home all the time, the TV is incredibly boring. And on weekends, it's a repeat show of every single thing I've watched Monday to Friday. Pfft.
 3. I love watching the Next Top Model series though. I love looking at the set, how they choose an unlikely place, throw in some ordinary things and ta daaa.. you get great pictures.
 4. I talk to strangers everywhere I go. Especially now that I am cocooned at home most of the time. The minute I get a chance to gab, there I go, chattering like monkeys.
 5. I'm going to move soon. This place is not something I can afford with the way my income has been reduced. I'm still building my network and have acquired several steady clients but the money is yet to come flooding. (At this stage I can only describe it as trickling, lol.) I'm going to live with my sister where the rent is lower and we can split the bills.

OK. Enough with that. I'm tagging:

Nah. Been here 10 years, aren't I?

People are too afraid of me anyway. They usually look surprised when I say Hi and start talking to them, LOL.

There are plenty of those people these days, asking for money pretending to be lost or missing their wallets, etc. Used to be they hang out at bus stations like Grogol and Kampung Rambutan as you said, but of late I've seen them even around Gandaria - where I lived previously. (A quiet, pretty prosperous neighborhood in the south.)

It's a moot point when it comes to begging money from me though. I don't have it most of the time, hahahaha.

And you gonna missed the becek stuff if you stay at home in rainy season and you should be careful if you talkin to a stranger especially when you're a newbie from village outside Jakarta or Java Island! I've been in those kind of situation when some weird guy asking me for money in Kampung Rambutan! hahaha...Of course they didn't got the money cause I kick their ***! LMAO :D

We should have some tête-à-tête soon, Lordie :)

At the end of the day though, nothing beats not having to drag oneself out of the bed as the sun is still peeking on the horizon. And seeing that I live in Jakarta, I do not exactly miss the bloody traffic, either.

Thanks for the wishes *hugs*

Love you, Lordie.

I know exactly how you feel;

I quit my job 3 years ago and worked at home for about one year;

I hope everything works out for you;

I am still like that; chattering to everyone;

Wishing you all the best
Lots of love and hugs

There it is, Iza.

These days are better though, because I have my sis to chat with and while I can't go out as often (more like, mostly never!) my sister has tons of book I haven't read!

@4vr: No more repeated TV shows these days! I have moved in with my sis now and we actually get some good cable stations plus locals, which never repeat shows, yeehaa :)

Too bad the cable we get doesn't include one of my favorites which broadcasts the Top Model things.

@TheMaiden: So have you found out about the law of attraction here on EP, dear Maiden? ^___^

Hmm.. what about work not-so-hard? Does it pay too? LOL

I hope to see you soon too ♥

No, I didn't know you were no longer a teacher. I see you wrote a story and I will have to catch up. I would love to write freelance. I hope it works out for you. You may contact some of your students parents to network and see if they know of some possibilities available to you.

I also watch 'America's Next Top Model' from time to time. Its an interesting show. I never knew modeling was so difficult.

Relying on TV to fill your time doesn't sound like a good plan. Maybe sort through your things and purge. Or volunteer somewhere that would give you ideas for your freelance writing. Research topics on the internet. There's a wealth of info on hundreds of topics. Learn something new.

I also talk to strangers, when in the mood. Some are really interesting.

Hey, thanks Lorraine! Hopefully there are ebooks version of those titles you suggested. I'm taking a look now :)

Hey June, when the money doesn't *flood* in, we do our best budgeting ! You will discover new levels within yourself.

Two books which have affected me.... "Not To Buy" about choosing NOT to buy anything but food for one year...and their creative challenges

" Living on a Shoestring"...some excellent tips for living effectively beneath the poverty line (income)

Amen, eyeno. It hasn't been easy but if God weren't with me, it would've been unbearable.

Muaaaahhh back :D

Yeehaa... I think there's still some stories out there not yet written (just like mine), MissMuffet :)

Looking forward to reading yours!

Wow. I worked fast, didn't I? LOL LOL

Only took you two months since I tagged you .........
