Blast From The Past

On dating and further relationships...

 1. I have dated someone younger than I am by at least ten years.
 2. I have dated someone who abused me physically.
 3. I have dated someone who is gay (lesbian, if others prefer this word).

Good luck... ;)

Aww...thanks, Taken...*hugging you back* :)

I didn't realize this game would create such a response. I wasn't looking for sympathy or anything like that. For me to include it in the game only means I am over it. They remain now as memories. They don't even haunt me. These memories help me be sensitive to things going on around me...and be on the alert as well. ;)

Nonetheless, I am grateful to you and to everybody here.
*Sylph curtsied to everyone*

Oh you folks are making me teary...stop it!!! LOL
It always amazes me these days that my EP friends are more real to me than the ones I have now in real life.

I was stupid and naive, WG. I just lost my father three years before then and I didn't know any better. The fact that I was dealing with my loss, I was pretty vulnerable....that led to my recurring nightmare......that you need to read as well. It's called Vulnerable Nights.

See you in that comment board. *hugs*

Would have been happy to be proven wrong this time round too Sylph. I cringe at the thought of you being abused. It makes me ill all over...

LOL We ended up playing mini golf because at the very beginning of the date, I was not comfortable anymore being with her on that level. There used to be a mini golf open 24 hours where bars and restaurants are nearby. But we had fun playing. In fact, she asked me out again to play mini golf about a week after.

Thanks, Roj. *hugs*

Damn. I completely missed this! And it was an interesting, intimate one too. My thoughts were along the same lines as WG though - couldn't imagine you cradle snatching and being happy about it. #2 well it's not something you choose, is it.

lol Mini-golf. Classic date! What was she thinking????

Awww...Bells...*hugs*

This was a long time ago. I have passed this road rather painfully, but it is an enlightening part of who I am now. And that's most important for me. I would not be able to sense other people's pain if it wasn't for something like this happening to me. In the end, I am a better person...and I could share that betterment with my friends now...friends who won't hurt me. :)

Plus, when I broke off with him (finally), I found myself with another gorgeous dude who pampered me for the next year or so... ;)

Sylph this was one instance, I wished I was wrong....:(

You said that this experience made you stronger in the long run...Just wish it never happened anyway..You are just so awesome...*hugs*

No need for sorries, Super-D...it's one of the reasons I became Super Sylph. ;)

But yeah...wrong again...only because you don't want something bad happening to me...and that alone is a winner in my book. *hugs*

So here it is, folks...

I have dated someone gay, a lesbian back in high school. Nothing romantic because we ended up playing mini golf. Early on during the date, it hit me already that this isn't my thing. I tried it out because I studied in an all-girls school and there was peer pressure.

I have dated and stayed in a relationship with someone who physically abused me. True to what Lilly has said, this would leave scars. I have them. Physical and emotional scars. But they are now a reminder of how naive I was then. I just didn't know any better. This was during uni years. He was like the most gorgeous guy in our batch; but also the most self-centered. We even lasted two years...can you believe that? And as all experiences, it made me a better Sylph.

I would never date a guy younger than I am, more so by ten years. I am attracted to men who share my wit and humour. The intellect plays a huge role as well. If at first meeting, the guy can't keep up with me, then I don't foresee anything more happening. And usually, younger men are fun to be with, to hang around with...but they can not outwit Sylph. So....................

For those who answered #1, congratulations.
*hugs to all*

Awwww...

Come on! What is the right answer!!!?

Hmmm, I'm going to have to make one up of my own while I wait....

LOL! ! !
I love your excitement. EP won't be the same for me without you here. :)

I'm right, I know I am! :)

We'll see... ;)

Gawd, I don't know what I'm doing at the moment! Yes, I meant to type 1 in. Am I right?

WG...you didn't type in the number...is your computer screen dirty again???

I'm guessing you guessed #1...cradle-snatcher. LOL!

Id like to think that it was 2 but I have a feeling it's not :(

I think it's , because you're not that old yourself and I can't imagine you being a cradle snatcher!

Thanks for waiting for me :)

Awww, HT...you're such a sweet kid! Thanks. :)

Thanks, Laurie...*hugs*

We'll wait for WG then, Super-D. I haven't seen her here today, except early morning my time. Just Roj.

Number two is the mean and brutal one. There-fore, it's a lie. To nice for that to not be a lie. :D

Sailor...thanks for the comment...we shall see...
Love your avatar btw............Argh! ;)

Hey Super-D...that's very sweet of you to say. I'll let you know later, okay? :)

I'm going to wager an exacta box on 1 and 3.....
Now that my mind is completely in the gutter cause i said exacta box, I will sneak away....
Thanks for the guesses, ladies...hmmm...we'll wait and see...
