When Is the Rapture Going to Occur In Relation to the Tribulation?

The timing of the Rapture in Relation to the Tribulation is one of the most controversial issues in the church today. The three views are Pre-tribulation (the Rapture occurs before the tribulation), Mid-tribulation 9the Rapture occurs at the mid-point of the tribulation), and the Post-tribulation (the Rapture occurs at the end of the Tribulation.) A 4th view, commonly known as Pre-wrath, is a slight modification of the Mid-tribulation positions.

First, its important to recognize the purpose of the Tribulation. According to Daniel 9:27, there is a seventieth "week" (7 years) that is still yet to come. Daniel's entire prophecy of the seventy weeks (Daniel 9:20-27) is speaking of the nation of Isriel. It is a time in which God focuses His attention especially on Israel. The seventieth week, the Tribulation (sometimes referred to as the Great Tribulation), must also be a time when God deals specifically with Israel. While this does not necessarily indicate that the church could not also be present, it does bring into question why the church would need to be on the earth during that time.

The primary scripture passage on the Rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It states that all living believers, along with all believers who have died, will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and will be with Him forever. The Rapture is God removing His people form the earth. A few verses later in 5:9 Paul says, "For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ," The book of Revelation, which deals primarily with the time period of the Tribulation, is a prophetic message of how God will pour out His wrath upon the earth during the Tribulation. It would seem inconsistent for God to promise believers that they will not suffer wrath and then leave them on the earth during the Tribulation. The fact that God promises to deliver Christians from wrath shortly after promising to remove His people from the earth seems to link those two events together.

Another crucial passage on the timing of the Rapture is Revelation 3:10. There, Christ promises to deliver believers from the "hour of trial" that is going to come upon the earth. This could mean two things: (1) Christ will protect believers in the midst of the trials, or (2) Christ will deliver believers out of the trials. Both are valid meanings of the Greek word translated "from." However, it is important to recognize what believers are promised to be kept "from." It is not just the trial, but the "hour" of trial. Christ is promising to keep believers from the very time period that contains the trials, namely the Tribulation. The purpose of the Tribulation, the purpose of the Rapture, the meaning of 1 Thessalonians 5:9, and the interpretation of Revelation 3:10 all give clear support to the Pre-Tribulation position. If the bible is interpreted literally and consistently, the Pre-Tribulation position is the most biblically consistent interpretation.

what about the word telling us we have to live out our lives, and not worry about the events. If you are baptized in the name of Jesus in Acts 2:38, Your fate has been sealed, He himself said in his word that he will protect his own children. Thats right,
Note in book of matthew 5:3-12
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
I believe on his words. His words are comfort, and will bring change into your life. Oh one more thing, let Jesus protect and watch the enemies scatter. They will not set their eyes on you anymore.
Please respond back. Oh the rapture will happen when a person lived his life for christ, Dead in christ will rise. I believe on them words.

There is no secret rapture. That was all man made by Darby. The tribulation will occur and those with the seal of GOD will not have to be concerned with..say the plagues because they are protected. The bible is quite clear when it will occur. You will not know when the time but you will know the season.

This "Rapture Will not happen untill the LAST trumpet blast (1 Cor. 15:52).
Yes people, we will go through 6 count them Six Trumpets of Tribulation and the 3 Three Woes.
Plus Jesus gives us the best time fr<x>ame for His return. Read (Matt. 24:14-30) Understand and
pay special attention to vers 22. If there is a "rapture" before the trib., how can 22 be true,
Don't even try to philosophize it. Our Enemy will try to get you to do just that, But I say to you in the
in the name of Jesus, to stay in the fr<x>ame of mind of our Lord and Saviour Jesus. Do not believe anyone, Read things foryourselves.
(Acts 17:11) .....they received the Word with all readiness of mind, And Searched the sc<x>riptures
daily, Whether Those Things Were So. Learn to do the same thing ALWAYS!!!!

TRY EZK.38. THIS IS THE WAR BETWEEN ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS OF THE MIDDLE EAST. THIS WILL BRING THE LORD INTO PLAY WITH A GREAT WAR. IRAN WILL USE THEIR NUKES. HE PROMISES TO DESTROY ISRAEL ALTOGETHER. THE USA HAS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM WETHER THEY WANT TO OR NOT.SOME OF THE ELECT WILL STILL BE HERE DURING THE TIBULATION. THE HARVEST WILL NOT BE COMPLETE BY THEN. NO HARM WILL COME TO THEM.

Irishfox...If you read and understood the title of the story then you would know that this story isn't about a time or date of the Rapture, but in fact, an explanation of whether the Rapture of Gods faithfull followers happens before, during, or after the Tribulation. Nowhere in my story do I place a date for the Rapture.
Please read the entire story before posting your comment... Thanks and God bless,
