awesome! really cool facts also awesome one: Mosquitos are more atraccted to the colour light blue than any other colour! (make sure you don't were blue PJs on Holiday!)

Very interesting. How very belligerent individuals can be. If you know it is not true why do you feel the need to attack just clarify and be civil.Great list of "facts" to search and verify, great project material.

Why is everyone so rude? Just because a few of the facts may not be fact, doesn't mean you should be an ***, especially if you are claiming a lack of ignorance using multiple misspelled words and incorrect grammar. This list was made for entertainment purposes, nothing else. Here is another fact that everyone here needs to hear; If more humans spent more time enjoying other humans, the world would be a better place.

Hair and nails do not continue to grow after death. That is a common misconception. The skin contracts due to dehydration and so gives the perception that nails and hair are longer They are not, just more is visible because skin has receded. Too much erroneous info. Not interesting.

poo wee bum bum

21. There are at least 75 words in the English language that are their own antonyms, here is a list www.dailywritingtips.com/75-contronyms-words-with-contradictory-meanings/
A googol is a one followed by a hundred zeros, not a million,
And hair and fingernails do not continue to grow after death, it is an illusion created as the body dessicates (drys out) causing the skin to pull back, revealing more hair and nail.
The more you know!

The fact of u saying those two contradict each other is false. That is merely the average, there are people in the world that go a day or two without when one laugh. Ur ignorance of not knowing different ways of thinking about things amuses me.

21. The word "table" can mean either "to present" or "to remove" - antonyms.

Just FTR, I`m right handed as well as most of my family and friends and we all chew our food on our left side.

If I held the sea to my ear, would I hear the sound of a shell?

A "Google" is actually a number with 100 zeros, not a million zeros. And a googleplex is a number with a Google of zeros.

Even more so, it's a "googol", and not a "google".

Number 10 is defiantly incorrect. The noise you can hear in a sea shell is resonance of the sound that are surrounding you.

also if only one of the horses legs are in the air, the person was wounded, not always killed from the wound

your hair and nails do not grow after death, your skin dehydrates and pulls back giving the appearance that your skin and nails grew

The v in the names of court cases does 'stand for' versus, in the sense that that's what it originally meant. Over time the lawyers have developed a tradition (which one has to follow to show that you've absorbed the legal culture, don't'cha know old chap?) of reading it as 'and' in civil cases and 'against' (which is what versus means anyway), but it is silly to say it doesn't 'stand for' versus. If it didn't originally mean versus, back when everything was reported in Latin, why would they write v, eh??? If it was just a random letter you might as well write x or q.

Facinating list. but the fact that numbers 9 and 42 contradict each lends doubt to the accuracy of the list overall.

Quite surprising...

I didn't know....cool

hmmm..let me see<br />
<br />
I'll eat later and figure if I'm chewing on my right side

Roaches do Math... No joke:<br />
<br />
"Research has shown that group-ba<x>sed decision-making is responsible for complex behavior such as resource allocation. In a study where 50 cockroaches were placed in a dish with three shelters with a capacity for 40 insects in each, the insects arranged themselves in two shelters with 25 insects in each, leaving the third shelter empty." <br />
<br />
Exsqueese me, In layman terms that means ...Not only do roaches know how to do math, they help each other (group ba<x>sed decision) reach the right answer... with chemicals! No beads to count, slide rule or calculators. People could learn a lot from these bugs we constantly spray, bait or stomp to death. <br />
"When the capacity of the shelters was increased to more than 50 insects per shelter, all of the cockroaches arranged themselves in one shelter. Researchers found a balance between cooperation and competition exists in group decision-making behavior found in cockroaches. The models used in this research can also explain the group dynamics of other insects and animals."<br />
That means roaches ain't the only ones what can do that. Don't you find that more than just a little weird? <br />
"A pheromone is a secreted or excreted chemical factor that triggers a social response in members of the same species. Pheromones are chemicals capable of acting outside the body of the secreting individual to impact the behavior of the receiving individual. There are alarm pheromones, food trail pheromones, sex pheromones, and many others that affect behavior or physiology. Their use among insects has been particularly well documented. In addition, some vertebrates and plants communicate by using pheromones."<br />
Pheromone, thats a weird word. What is really weird, there are an innumerable species of little critters and plants that spit out their own combo of chemicals for whatever they want, and none of them get crossed up in the process. <br />
Quotes are from wikipedia. <br />
Except those made by me for my own secret demented pleasure.<br />
