Big Hug From A Little Person

I have a 1 year old neice..who is an absolute bundle of energy. She races around..does her new found fake laugh where she throws her head back, squints her eyes and scrunches her nose and lets out this big..albeit fake...belly laugh. She's always on the go. When you pick her up, she's always grabbing at your buttons..taking your glasses off.. or trying to lean backwards so you'll pretend you're going to drop her. (crazy..i know) For ages now, everytime i pick her up, I say.. "Addi...can I get a hug?' which completely falls on deaf ears as she tears your glasses from your face with lightening fast reflexes. Today I went to see her, and picked her up..and for the first time she gave me a hug. She put her arm around my neck and squeezed.. a genuine hug..not the..hurry up so i can rip your glasses off again type. It was a heartwarming, genuine hug. It was nice. I needed it today. :)
