This Poem!

Life is tough.

It takes up a lot of your time, all your weekends…

and what do you get at the end of it?

…Death, a great reward.

I think the life cycle should be backwards.

You should die first, get it out of the way.

Then you should live twenty years at an old age home.

You get kicked out when you’re too young,

you get a gold watch, you go to work…

You work for forty years until you’re

young enough to enjoy your retirement.

You go to college,

you party until you’re ready for high school,

you become a little kid, you play, you have no responsibilities,

you become a little boy or girl, you go back into the womb,

you spend your last nine months floating.

And you finish off as a gleam in someone’s eye.

- Norman Glass

Great thought right?

love it

Hehe it is perfectly ok with me, in fact even if it was not, you should not bother! ;)

Sure is! Though as you can see we discussed a lot of possibilities associated! hehe!

Nah, you see man is an animal after all..

People will start having problems with people just digging their way out, they will be like that they are using too much space..forests are being ruined...and stuff you know..LOL

Floydian, you would have never written this thread had you known my mother, that *****.

Exactly, what to preach about then???? I hope that this becomes true, we need to shake up the order of society to open many more minds!! (in a peaceful manner, no violence please!)

:D thanks...

But you see then sex would be anti-creation and there is going to be a ban on it..waha!!!!!!! LOL

Not only that, but mythical as well. Great imagination!

If that is the case, then sex is no longer needed for procreation and the only reason for it would be for pleasure and it would turn the religious community on its head! Hahaha, I like that!!!

You rise from the a phoenix..

Or just dig your way out of the ground one fine day..

Wow that would be nice right?

How true, but how do you get created in your old age if not as the gleam to begin with?

Lol, I am so up for the idea..but you see the sound of it is good! I mean, just the stuff that you would finish off as a gleam in someone's eye! Nice!

It does sound wonderful, but two things, one is that in the end death is what we receive,, Benjamin Buttons or not. The second is in this current set up we acquire wisdom that allows us to make up for some of the lost physical skills. I agree that if we could be young and wise like we re today then the combination would be amazing. Unfortunately it is what it is and so we will have to enjoy the journey as it is. Is somebody working on on a time reversal machine or an anti-gravity machine?

Well, lol, but the original one is in front of you! :)

Nope not really, care to elaborate?

Yep do it!

Have you read my article? Life over death - A cogent contention? If you have not, then it's highly recommended for you! It speaks of the same thing what you say!

Lol, you miss the whole point! The poet has used it sarcastically! That is what he implies, why do we do all the work? To die in the end?

Lol! But according to me, the best part is finishing off as a gleam in someone's eye! Even the though is mesmerizing! :)

Sounds like they just made a movie about growing younger with Brad Pitt in it....Wonder if he goes all the way back to the womb?

That really is a lovely thought! We all go back into the womb. Wow!

Whose head? :P

It even made me happy! Hats off to Norman Glass! I became his fan due to just this poem!
