Here I'll put my Fav Albums From The 90's - 00's...Only 5 each, like before...
1990's
Madonna - "Immaculate Collection" - Just a great feel good album...chock full of hits and great to put on whilst you get ready to go out. From "Holiday" to "Justify My Love", they're all here. Great stuff!
Megadeth - Rust In Peace - The best thrash album? The best thrash band? I think so! From "Holy Wars..." to the title track, Mr Mustaine is in a bit of a bad mood and spits out his lyrics with pure venom! So good...
Blur - "ParkLife" - Blur were the Kinks of the 90's...such great writing. Had Graham Coxon, who were their secret weapon. ****** over Oasis from a great height! Best brit band for years...
Marillion - "Brave" - Well...one of the best concept albums ever. Another great brit band. All I can say is to buy it and listen to it well...such great melodies and lyrics....
Jonny Lang - "Wander This World" - His 2nd album, has "Look Out My Window" on it. Hard to believe here's a white teenager that sounds like a 40+ black singer. Very mature release...
2000's
Incubus - "Morning View" - Wow! Just what an album! Has "Wish You Were Here" on it but hard to pick just one track...all great...So you CAN have a DJ involved in a Alt Rock band and sound convincing! Great Lyrics....quite a mellow album...Love It!
John Mayer - "Room For Squares" - Wow! Now this is an artist! Great songs...brilliant lyrics...quite cute...and plays the **** out of his guitar! Yeah! From "My Body.." to "Daughters"...all could be great well thought out pop/ rock releases...My fav new artist by far....
The Wildhearts - "The Works" - The Best Brit Rock band since Def Leppard? Oh yeah! I can't really tell you how many times I've seen 'em live...lots and lots. This has most of the singles, from "Turning American", "My Baby Is A Headfuck", "Geordie In Wonderland","Sick Of Drugs" & "I Wanna Go Where The People Go"...all great songs...Oh, and the 11+ min long "Sky Babies"...pop/rock/folk/thrash at it's very best...Try!
Los Lonely Boys - "Los Lonely Boys" - The alternative to Santana. Great Latin-stylee pop/rock/blues from this trio...has the hit "Heaven" on there....Good to listen to full blast on a hot day!
The Police - "Collection" - 2 discs of great songs from The Police, ranging from pop, rock to reggae...groundbreaking band...all the singles!
So....there you go. Hope you like some of them. Listen to some if you've not heard them before....or play the ones that you haven't heard in a while. You might just have a fresh view...
