Home Based Business: My Experience

I have been struggling to earn a supplemental income from home for the past 3 years with a view to replacing my income.

I decided after my daughter was born that I wanted to be more available for my family and I also realized that there was just no way that I was going to be able to retire, pay off the house, send the kids to college if they wanted, or have my kids enjoy vacation and fun stuff to do unless I found another way to earn an additional income.

My challenge is... I am the ONLY member of the family that feels this way. The only family here is my husband's. My family is in another country. My husband understands what I am trying to do but is not interested in helping me. He stays well out of it. When I need help in order to make calls or do demos... he always agrees to take the kids, but also makes me feel guilty for doing so.

My "free" time is after the kids go to bed or the early hours of the morning, so I am trying to do more internet based marketing. This is ok, but tiring for me.

Trying to stay focused and motivated is the hard part, while carrying the guilt. I know mindset is the key, but it is still hard to keep the consistency going.

Making money online is hard and it is really about optimizing your time. The best pay site I have found earns me $100 a month during dinner. You even receive $5 for sign up.

I swear I talked about doing something for years and one day I just finally did. I was waiting for something to fall in my lap which would keep me waiting even after death with that not being a true reality..lol. I think having a goal and a step by step process to follow could help everyone become financially free. I am working hard now in the beginning to reap the payoff benefits in the end running my own business from home. I am the boss, able to work my own hours, have more time for my husband and kids, and have a residual income. I am able to work from 20 hours to 40 hours a week. I get vacations when I want. I feel working hard can payoff in the long run because in my business theres no downside. I've never gotten things to come by luck for me..lol. I actually help others with the opportunity to run a business like me also. I have always wanted to own my own business because I was tired of not getting paid what I worth, being told what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. If you want more info on what I'm doing I'll be glad to give it to you. If not thats cool. I just wish everyone could be happy in life and I have finally found the last piece to my puzzle. I do find it frustrating at time being in front of the computer but I know it will payoff. Good Luck with everything on your end. www.workathomeunited.com/worknmom

I'm a newly divorced mother of 2 who is looking for some extra income (my ex left the country with his mistress and havent heard from him in 4 months). I have been answering posts on Craigslist for house work and babysitting, but lately have been creeped out by the people on Craigslist. I started using http://Workstir.com cuz it lets me see who I am doing business with. Most of the users are tied to their Facebook profile, which is nice, cuz most people on Facebook use their real name and contact info.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and you'll be seeing me around :)

Hi Susan, Bruce Adams here, we may be friends on FaceBook already. I have some input on network marketing and am willing to share with you.
I may be able to help you with the business you are in. Word of advice don't spend any money on training, will explain later.
I look forward in helping you.
