Saving My Pennies

This year Im going to spend as little money as possible. I just checked on my spending and Im spending far too much on junk like gadgets new clothes, CD’s the list goes on and on. And does any of this stuff make me feel more fulfilled or a better person? I don’t think so. So here’s pledge number one, I will not but any new clothes this year! (Apart from underwear and socks.) I will go to charity shops, save money, recycle some clothes and raise some cash for charity, sound good to me.

Also Im brown bagging in work so no more spending £5 a day on food in the canteen, not that its all that nice anyway ( with the exception of my first cup of coffee of the day, I really like the girl who serves me and that can be my treat for saving lots of dosh.)

Food for work will also be purchased at the local discount store or local shops if going cheap. I feel a plan coming on. Let’s see if I can get rid of that credit card by Christmas.

Oh and last month I spent £300 on food and drink and that’s just on nights out, so reducing beer intake also. Sorry Guinness I love you but I think we should spend less time together, its not you, its me, I have some personal issues to deal with, I hope we can still be friends.

I hardly ever buy clothes too. Too much of a bother. I've already got some. But my CDs and books do make me feel more fulfilled! I spend too much on that stuff, but I justify it...
