Our adventure seeking lifestyles, love for the outdoors and passionate outlook on life have challenged us to pack up the Durango & drive across the country! Yes!, our GPS will be our best friend and there will be no turning back as we drive coast to coast hitting major cities in over 15 states! The winding roads will be taking us to pure ecstasy as we will experience the adrenaline rush of class IV rapids in the Snake River, ATV-riding in the sand dunes of Arches National Park, and rock climbing in the garden of gods. the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon, the picturesque rocky mountain vista, and the bright lights of Vegas will undoubtedly leave us slack jawed. Our childhood camping skill will be put to the test as we pitch our tent in 8 National Parks. And since we are all big sports enthusiasts we plan to catch a few games along the way. You’ll find us in the nose-bleed section cheering our little hearts out!  38 days, 4 people, and 9, 000 miles in a Dodge Durango will certainly feel like we are ‘Grabbing Life By The Horns’!

    Wow! That sounds excellent!

    I have not travelled across the U.S.but a friend & I drove from 'Jersey to CO in 1979.

    When I was cut lose from the Navy I took a series of buses from 'Frisco to NJ, that was a trip!



    Anyway, I have camped at various established campsites, & I would like to mention a few things I have learned..



    Bring your own bathroom cleaners, especially for the shower floor(s) & the thunder-mug seat. Wear flip flops while showering.



    Oh, a real veteran, a Shipmate's mother who was quite a "veteran" of such road trips once to bring supplies for 2 cold meeals, & have one hot meal so to conserve on moola.



    Oh, again! If you get to the East coast, there are several Drive In Movie theaters in PA, & 1 in NJ which is near Vineland (NJ). It's called the Delsea! The concession stand at the Delsea serves stir fry!
