I Want to Talk About Religion Peacefully
I had gone to sleep at about the age of three, when I was awakened
by the presence of 2 angels I was told that they wanted me to see
something, I had to promise first, that I would be very good and do
what they told me without argument. It was important that I agree to
leave when they said.
One angel did most of the talking. The other was quiet, yet attentive, as if a witness. I watched as my ceiling dissolved, and the roof rafters opened. We lifted up, complete with my bed, and flew off into the starry night sky.
My father was forever twitting me about getting lost. I once got lost
and had to be rescued from under my bedsheets. If we drove around
the block, my father expected me to know this So, I was watching
closely, trying to figure out how to tell my parents where I'd been. I
had reason to know they wouldn't believe me unless I could prove it
by showing them the way. One angel noticed me looking around and
asked me what I was doing. I explained and she told me not to
bother, that nobody got where we were going without help.
Presently we landed into a place. One minute we were in the sky and
the next we were just suddenly there. Instead of being night it was
daylight. There was grass and flowers and a long row of happy,
loving people. There was an atmosphere of love such as I have never
experienced except for there. The people were both men and women.
They all seemed about the same age. None were very young nor very
old but I would say older. It has occurred to me years later that
perhaps what I was seeing was the maturity of their spirits.
While we were there, I received many wonderful hugs and kisses.
I would have been happy to stay there forever, it was so wonderful. I
was disappointed when I was told it was time to leave, but I was
reminded of my promise. I moved obediently back up by the center
of the headboard, where they had me sit. I do not really remember
much about the return trip.
After we returned to my room. My ceiling looked as though it had
never been touched. The two Angels had all kinds of fun toys to play
with, and they beckoned to me to join them. I did and we played
together for awhile.
When I looked to my left towards my bedroom closet. My solid
closet door was now a french door. There was a tiny foyer then
another french door. Beyond that, was snow covered lawn, with
freshly shoveled walk, leading to a shoveled sidewalk. At the door
was a tiny white rabbit, furiously trying to get inside. Coming up the
sidewalk was a huge black cat. Somehow I was made aware that the
cat intended to kill and eat the tiny, soft, white bunny. I raced
through to the outer door and quickly rescued the would be victim.
The floor was so cold, I couldn't wait to get back into bed to warm
my feet and make friends with my visitor. Presently the danger ended
and the little rabbit wanted to leave. Warning the little bunny to be
careful, I let him out. This scene played through several times. The
only change was that each time the cat got closer to catching his
quarry. One of the times the bunny wanted to leave I asked the angels
to help me make him stay. They told me that would be wrong, how
would I take care of the bunny? They reminded me that my parents
would never allow such a thing. I told them that if they gave me a
cage I would hide him under my bed so my parents wouldn't see.
They seemed distressed as they explained how miserable the little
bunny would be in such a circumstance. Reluctantly, I let the little
bunny go as he wanted. Despite coaxing I could not happily play any
more. I was too concerned for my innocent new friend. I was afraid if
I stopped watching the doors he would be caught. Eventually the big,
hungry, black cat caught the tiny rabbit and made a meal of him right
on the doorstep.
I was very upset and decided I would catch that mean ol' cat and kill
him. I decided rather than run through the snow, it would be better if
I made the cat believe I was it's friend, so it would come to me. It
wasn't long before I had the cat in my arms and was crawling back
into bed.
I had a plastic letter opener that I fancied as my knife. It was shaped
like a dagger with serrated edges. I attacked the cat and cut him up
into many small pieces. I was astonished that there was no blood. (I
knew about blood because having decided to be more like Daddy, I
had already tried my hand at shaving.) There was no blood and far
from being dead, each and every piece had taken on a life of it's own.
Every piece squirmed in what seemed a panic to be reunited. The
Angels were tight lipped and angry. They moved far away to the end
of the bed, refusing to talk to me at all. I was in a panic, I couldn't pick up the pieces and the Angels wouldn't talk to me. After much begging and pleading, it was explained to me, that I did not have the power to destroy anything,
but only to change it. I did not have the right to change God's
creatures in revenge. They forgave me and removed my hapless feline
instructor. Shortly thereafter they left and I slept peacefully until morning.
When considering the possibility of the whole thing being a dream, I
must share this. Prior to their visit I had horrible seizures requiring
hospitalization. After their visit, I never suffered another seizure. It
has been over 50 years now. I need no medication.
