No but I'll certainly look into it, thanks for the tip.

I wouldn't get your expectations too high I still have so much to learn.

My Garden is, purely by coincidence, the exact size alloted to small show gardens at the Chelsea flower show. 9 metres square.

I have no doubt! Some of my favorite gardens are small-space gardens. It's like entering an enchanted world!

I wouldn't claim that quite yet but, if things progress according to plan it may be a valid claim in a year or two.

    I hope!

It's just a water spout from a Lion's mouth, that will fall onto pebbles. The pebbles will be arranged on a metal mesh surrounded by rocks placed over a reservoir containing a pump. The water will run over the pebbles back into the reservoir and be recirculated by the pump.

The surrounding rocks wil be arranged as a rockery. With Alpine plants, in between the rocks.

Hmm a water feature that won't be a pond....I don't know what you're coming up with...but it sure sounds intriguing.

Have had a pond with miniature waterfall but the pump filter had to be cleaned everyday, just a pain and very difficult when most of the water surface is covvered in aquatic plant growth the area available is too smalll.

Have the guys who did the hard landscaping last spring coming to discuss rebuilding a new water feature that I've designed that won't need cleaning too often but, it won't be a pond. Ponds need a lot of upkeep on a regular basis and I'm simply not physically able to cope. If you have a two foot deep pond and you're in a wheelchair how far down have you to reach? I struggle to dig a six inh deep hole to plant new plants in.

I hope you have a pond in your garden. Sounds like it's all thats needed to complete the serenity of the place.

I hope some day to have a garden. I think it would be soothing for my soul and a wonderful gift to share with my Cassandra. I would love to have hibiscus and orchids would be lovely but both are so temperamental. Lilac and honeysuckle would also be lovely!

Thanks Caitlin I think you'd love my garden on a warm summer night it's so spiritual and yet earthy, and the scent of the flowers and general fragrance hangs in the air, it's a short but wonderful walk around .

Thanks for reading bec, I'm afraid my words are totally inadequate to capture the real beauty but hopefully the pix will help later in the year.

Very good point Ernie, I think in the past I've been a bit careless about where I post my stories.

If you look at my story 'The very bare bones on and around which my life hangs' you'll find it in a totally inappropriate section. Thing is I don't know how to move them.

Sounds wonderful, but what has it got to do with talking about books?
