The Lovely Bones By Alice Sebold

I read some articles saying reading about a 12 year old girl being raped, murdered and dismembered by a neighbor is an agony for mothers.

I opened it to have a look, and I just couldn't put it down. It's a great book, I cried and laughed and loved every page of this book.

The story is told by the murdered girl who can't leave her family after her death, watching how they cope with this horrible event.

She witnesses the pain, estrangements and changes that take place after the tragedy.

I highly recommend this book.

I consider this a great book too, though at times it was difficult to deal with subject matter. It's one of those books that lingers and certain details imprint on you for a very long time.

@ June: she was a victim herself; and she is helping other rape victims; so she is a very positive but real person
@ girl mc girly: yes; utterly painful. it had a mild way of introducing extreme violence. Great read

It was amazing how she could turn such story into a victorious tale. She deserves all the hype that comes with the novel :)

It's hard to talk about books like this, I can't say I enjoyed it!?!
