Lady Swan

How strange that you choose a male swan in your avatar, but no matter. hehe

This is a love story set in South America, I think, around the late 1800's through the turn of the century. This was during and and after a major outbreak of cholera, hence the name. The women are absolutely stunning, especially the "country cousin".

The cinematography is great (especially of the jungle vista's) and the acting is superb, while the make-up was a bit challenged.

I think that one of the leads might have been played by Lou Diamond Phillips. I shall research and confirm.
I have seen the illusionist and it was a great film and I would recommend it to others, but I have not seen the other one you recommended. What's the plot?

missyoo.

very definitely. In the first one, the people are beautiful. the land is beautiful and the story is certainly nice too.

The second is about power and madness and love and magic. a stunning combination.

please do watch

the thing is that I did not recognise one actors name.
