One Day..

I want to visit San Francisco.  I have actually been when I was really young.  My father took me to a Grateful Dead concert when I was three, but my memory has gotten a little fuzzy over the past 25  I would love to go back, and especially now that I know and appreciate the history of the beautiful city.

I would be happy to just stroll down the street all day, in the Haight-Ashbury district, or spend the day by the bay.  I am not sure why, but I am just very drawn to the thought of spending time in this unique city.  It is definately on my top ten places to go.

Maybe one day..

I lived in the SF Bay area for 27 years. I lived in Haight-Ashbury for two years, i was just 2 blocks from Golden Gate park and on Sunday they would always have drum circles by Hippie Hill. I loved spending hours at a time just strolling though Golden Gate Park and would often walk or ride my bike to the Ocean. I saw many Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia shows. I remember in one show I was standing less that 10 feet away from Jerry who was just above me. I remember vividly the day he died. I was so heartbroken. he was such a beautiful and talented man, that brought untold joy to millions of people. I still have a lot of their music and listen to it when i need relax. if you want to see them on video there are thousands of links on youtube. It is good to know that i am not the only Christian that loves the Grateful Dead. David
