Poetry For Your Soul: A Place To Share Your Verse/poetry/muse

I am a published poet and I'm interested in people sharing their poetry no matter what experience you might have as a poet.  I learned so much by reading the works of other people, how they used words to express feelings, how they used body parts to engender the feelings of the soul.  I have read the pain and agony of a tormented writer as well as the crisp joy of blossoming creative individuals.  This will be a safe place to expose your work without criticism - as there will be a Code of Honor for all joining members that only helpful and positive expressions about the person's poems will be allowed.  If a poet requests critical critique from the members, it will be done outside of the group.  Violation of the Code of Honor (COH) may lead to being removed from the group by the group leader, which for the present time is me.

I hope we have many members join and share their verses and poems with us.  There are no poetic forms to follow or rhythmic scheme to adhere to, this is a completely open poetry forum for you to express yourself in whatever poetic style you chose.  Again the COH requests that your verse not be insensitive to or hostile  to any race, creed, religion, nationality, sex or sex preference.  Poems that violate the COH will be censored and the author may be banned from the group depending on the severity of the offense.

If there is interest in people wanting to share their verse/poetry/muse, I felt that it was far better that the ground rules should be set forth before the group started than after, so those who want to be a part of this experience can feel safe and free to expose themselves, write from their hearts and not fear judgment or criticism of any kind.  Instead this will be a community of support, healing, empathy and spiritual energy.  If this sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, I'd be so delighted.

Manor Prufrock, You started this group in 2009. Are you still on it? Is there still this group? I've shared poetry various times on this site and just now came across your group. Please let me know if you're even still a member of Experience Project.com. There weren't many poems on here, so you may have given up on this project. Please let me know, if you're still around. Thanks.! velvetflow

I usually post my poems in different groups but i b glad to post here too.thanku for tellin me

If you publish it here with it marked (c) by with your name and some publishes it, their in big time trouble as is their publisher, they'll owe you significant money. I've had my poetry published and I'm putting together a second - I've never had any problems with anyone stealing or claiming my work as theirs - manybe a college student somewhere but that can happen whether it's published or not. I'd love you to be a part of our group but you have to decide - personally I wouldn't worry about someone claiming it as theis, the Internet makes it difficult for people to get away with such thingsand as long as you date it, your safe - so I hope you'll reconsider :) elliott

I find my best poetry is written from my heart and experiences I have had in life, love, death, joy. I have to say I am a little put off about putting my poetry out there because I am afaid someone will publish it and say it is thier own. I really don't know if my verses are good or not but the thought of someone claiming my work for any reason really scares me.
