Speaking of Respect

i cant belive how people theses days, especially adults. between the ages of 30-55, dont really show any manners or respect to the younger crowd, between the ages of 18-25. i cant tell you how many times i have had an older person cut me off in traffic, but me in line, take my parking spot when i clearly was there and had my turning signal on, or talk to me like i havent lived long enough to know anything about anything. i must say that it really makes me angry that some older people think that becuase they are older then they know everything. im not saying that everyone is like this, and im not saying that older people dont know what they are talking about either, im just trying to ask for a little common curtesy. you know, manners. i realize that you have to give respect to get it. but that works one way as well as the other. if adults want respect, then they need to give it. and vice versa. im not going to respect someone who does not respect me. im sorry.

It may be that they have been disrespected by those 18 to 25 year old young adults....I don't know but I do know i have been.
I show respect to everyone unless they are up in my face disrespecting me.
This happened on my property one time and I was ready to have him arrested for trespassing.

On the other hand I have also been addressed respectfully by several younger gentlemen
Their greeting was "How are you doing sir?" and my response was "Fine sir and how are you today?" though they were 30 or more years my junior.

I was taught proper manners when growing up and I expect proper manners in return.
