Easter Dresses

It's that time of year again when all the pretty, frilly Easter dresses start showing up on the racks. I adore browsing through the girls section and admiring the beautiful dresses that I wish I were buying for myself. Made me want to go out to the car and cry. Worse than that, I wouldn't have anyone to show off my dress to. Maybe someday someone will notice me shopping in the girls' section and take pity on me.

I remember my sister being put in these type of easter dresses and me being so very JEALOUS!!!

What a nice desc<x>ription, Miss Julie.I can't help but walk through all those beautiful holiday dresses, brushing up against them and wishing they were for me. As you pointed out, it was especially fun as a young boy. If I only knew then what I know now.

I too love to walk through the women and girls sections suring Christmas and Easter to see the pretty dresses in satin, organza, and chiffon with all the lace, frills and ruffles ... ... a sea of girlish femininity. It was even better when I was a small boy .. with lacy petticoats, and lacy, embroidered slips ... and those sheer dresses girls wore. Women and girls not only looked so pretty at Easter, but the feminine rustling of their dresses and silky, lacy underthings was such a delightful sound.

You lucky girl. My favorite dresses have lots of lace, bows, ruffles, and of course petticoats. You will have to enjoy them for me, for now. (sigh)
