A Few Notes On Me

Who am I?
Though tending to be serious, I always appreciate humor, particularly when it's refined. I'm a freethinker. I subscribe to "Live and let live". Even though I enjoy both intellectual and intimate conversations, life has taught me all the importance of listening with empathy. My friends would say that I am good, simple, quiet, honest, respectful, loving, caring, attentive, faithful, considerate, understanding, responsible, trustworthy.
Though I value a woman with a beautiful soul, a big heart, the qualities of her personality, I also attribute great importance to sensuality, to sexuality. As for the latter, despite the fact that I'm clearly heterosexual, that I clearly believe in exclusivity, in faithfulness, I try to be as open as possible to people of all orientations. I am willing to discuss all things sexual (and all things, period), in a very open way, as long as it is done respectfully, healthily, positively, with as much class, dignity as possible. Eroticism, refinement, suggestiveness, playfulness, yes; ***********, vulgarity, explicitness, undue seriousness, no.
I firmly believe that a woman and a man are equal, though of course different, and I am determined to try to treat women well.
I firmly believe in the Golden Rule or ethic of reciprocity, that essentially states (in its positive form) that one should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.
In what may seem controversial to many, I am judgmental, honestly believing that you cannot go on in life being literally non judgmental. However, I believe in being very careful when judging others, in showing as much respect, as much understanding, as much openness as possible. I welcome critique of, judgments on what I think, what I do, as long as they are done in good faith, sincerely, fairly, in a positive, constructive way; I believe such critique, such judgments can help me better myself, can help me steer my conduct toward a better path.
If you judge me by my fans, by my friends, you may be quite misled, because, with a very open-minded spirit, I add almost everybody, my door is open to almost everybody, again, as long as one acts showing as much respect, as much understanding, as much openness as possible, in good faith, sincerely, fairly, in a positive, constructive way, with good intentions. My acceptance of one's friendship doesn't mean that I endorse that one's views, that one's conduct; it means that I am open to them.
I firmly believe that, though always trying to do well, always well intentioned, I have a right to mistake, just as others do. When politely, convincingly told that I'm wrong, I will do my best to correct myself.

Why am I on this site?
Because, having discovered it by accident while making a search on the Internet in November 2012, I immediately liked it.
. I like its openness;
. I find it stimulating and challenging;
. it helps me get to know many others' points of view, concerns, on a wide range of subjects, issues;
. it helps me to try to react appropriately, in a respectful, thoughtful way, to many others' responses, which, I must admit, sometimes startle me.
Because I would like to promote a better understanding between women and men.
Because I would like to have sincere, interesting, rich exchanges with you.
Because I would like that we enjoy ourselves, that we help each other.
