A Letter To My 16-year-old Self.

Hey, Corey. It's me/you. I/We/You are 22-years-old now. Six years have passed. I want you to read this.

First things first. Love yourself. Don't ever stop loving yourself. You'll struggle with this a lot during the next few years. There will be times when you will hate who you are. You'll definitely see a lot of tears coming from your eyes, falling down your cheeks, but remember that you'll smile when it's over.

Life is about the good stuff and the bad ****, too. You will grow from both. Be open. Be open to new experiences and new people. Be open to adventure and new ideas. Reflect on who you are, who you want to be, and where you want to go in life. Question everything around you. Never stop questioning.

This is who you are six years from now. You are reflective. You are courageous. You are creative. You are curious. You are happy. You are sassy. You are independent. You are COREY.

I guess I'm writing this letter to let you know that everything will be alright. Believe in who you are and forget about what other people think. Life doesn't get easier, but it gets better. Corey, life gets a hell of a lot better. I promise, my friend. I really promise.

I love you.
