Iran "according to Israel intelligence " says they have proof that Iran is indeed working on nuclear war heads.

I think we need to understand that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is an Islamic "twelver" which is the most extreme.

He believes that in order for God to return to earth that the earth must be in chaos.

He also believes it is his duty to create such chaos.

That being said, what should our reaction be?

I personally think we should focus allot of attention on Iran.

Maybe we can start eating again after the November elections. <br />

It's always been a dog-eat-dog world. As citizens,it's our responsibility to try to elect those politicians dedicated to keeping the USA eating AND NOT being eaten. Sad but true; this is the natural order of the world. Rose colored glasses only confuse, what should be obvious: keep the USA strong, very strong.

Well Eric the government seems to agree with me on this one.

You want to pay a lot of attention to Iran? Why?<br />
<br />
Their is enough chaos in the world with them or without them. <br />
<br />
Ask yourself: where in the world is there not some sort of armed conflict? It is everywhere, and it always has been that way. <br />
<br />
God damn I wish you people would read an accurate history book.

Most scripture is metaphor. <br />
<br />
But when quoting the Qu'ran, just as in quoting the Bible...taking a verse, or surra out of context can be interpreted many ways. Especially when using a translation instead of original language. <br />
<br />
But then again... misquoting is how most religious wars begin. <br />
<br />
You know...a pat on the back here, a wink and a nod there, misquote, misinterpret, and the battle lines are drawn.

*slowly shakes head at Puck*

It might be too stoned. ha ha ha

I would like to talk to a rock. Can you imagine the stories a rock could tell? lol

I figured it was relevant. I doubt if there will be talking rocks and trees though.

Nice passage there Puck, Never came across that one. : )

"The Day of Resurrection will not arrive until the Moslems make war against the Jews and kill them, and until a Jew hiding behind a rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: 'Oh Moslem, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!'" (Sahih Bukhari 004.52.176)

Thanks for the great comment WTWF..

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the real deal I'm afraid.<br />
Left unchecked he will indeed ".:in time" thrust the world as we know it into chaos.<br />
Maybe not the US soil its self, but we will become very involved in trying to "as solar1 says" policing him and his agenda in the "I fear" not to distant future.

Once again Blue the mantel of the worlds policeman falls upon us , Israel has its own agenda , but a friend none the less , perhaps a word in the ear of the Chinese before proceding ..........

The USA, since 9/11, has done a fine job of expanding their network of military bases across several former Soviet states in Central Asia where many pundits have posited that the next Al-Qaedan Idol will find his (probably not hers, but who knows) path to those desireable 72 virgins in the Sky with Diamonds: all of these nuclear facilities, under the careful auspice of the USA and pressure from the Russian big daddy, have no doubt bumped up their security beyond any reasonable measures. Everyones scared of a random nuclear attack after all, the Homeland Security Advisory does a fair job of explaining nuclear dirty bombs, surely someone with access to Newsgroups and Telnet could get even more detailed information on how to make one! We had better be careful, vigilant, proud and certainly fierce, to eliminate the Dirty Bomb scourge. And thus, gathering nuclear material ain't what it used to be.<br />
<br />
Although dirty nukes can't take out the whole city, even a portion of NY would be devastating.

dirty bombs are portable ...that is true. but true nuclear warfare would require air supremecy. Iran doesn't have that.

LOL nice comment Toby.<br />
As far as the means to deliver it,,,, It can be delivered in a suitcase via ship.<br />
Thst would be the means I would use if I were them. Which I am not. lol

That is not the Christian belief at all, The Christian belief is that the world will be in chaos in the end times, but they don't believe they have to usher in that chaos. As far as I know only the Muslim twelvers believe that. And the answer to your question would be Israel.

"He believes that in order for God to return to earth that the earth must be in chaos."<br />
<br />
Sounds just like a Christian to me. <br />
<br />
Any guess as to which is the only nation in the middle east that has a nuclear arsenal?

I think the best offense is a kick *** defense ;). I don't think, truly, that the sovereignty of Israel affects the safety of america, however.

The guy himself has proclaimed that they are now a nuclear nation.<br />
I think that says pretty much.<br />
I do agree with you otherwise about trusting the Intel we receive or from even out own intelligence agencies. I think we should pay close attention to this guy anyway. <br />
<br />
Angel I agree with your thoughts of neutrality, to the point that it becomes dangerous to American lives.

I agree Tzech, intel and the media elite are not to be trusted, we need someone completely independent. This is not something to be ignored, but the investigations must be unbiased.

It seems that what you are really asking is for validation of your own opinion. <br />
<br />
Personally, I distrust anything that is considered intel, referring back to our intel, before we went to Iraq.<br />
<br />
Independent, non-military, non-governmental investigation is more reliable.<br />
<br />
But...that is merely my opinion.

That's a subjective phrase, "end the world as we know it". I mean, we just ended the world as they knew it for millions of Iraqis and Afghans <br />
I would argue, dear friend, that without a proper ICBM and track program, the most they can do is attack Israel. And if they want to be that foolish, I say let them, The Israelis have been building a nuclear stockpile for decades, and could stomp Iran with a switch. <br />
I say Israel let us know because they'd rather us spend our money pursuing this latest bad guy then spending theirs. Just like we always do. I wish we could go back to the days that America had an absolute neutrality policy. <br />
I don't care about being the greatest of them all, I just want us to be great. And I think you can't be both. We can't be showoffs globally and meet all our needs at home, especially now.

You don't see a problem with someone wanting to usher in the end of the world as we know it, actually having the means to do so?

The phrase "Israeli Intelligence" alarms me...they have their own reasons for wanting the world to sanction Iran. And rationally, it doesn't seem fair that we decide who can have nuclear weapons and who can not.
