Designated Dave

I've been an official designated driver for any kind of program or anything like that, but I am one most days of my week.

The main reason being, although I love to drink, I don't do it that often. Mainly because I don't have the money to, heh. So then it turns out being me every single time driving everyone around. It also doesn't help that three of my closest friends don't have licence's so a lot of the time I don't have much of a choice.

But it doesn't particularly bother me though because I quite like driving. For one thing it's my own way of releasing stress. I'll quite often just cruise around town, or drive out into the countryside for an hour or so, with the CD player blaring my music of choice and me singing my guts out to whatever is playing, just freeing my mind of thoughts and just concentrating on the drive and the music, it's great.

Although a few times when I've known in advance that the group is going to be doing something and someone will have to do the driving, I've bought a bottle of wine, gone home and gotten drunk before anyone can volunteer me to drive, it's quite an easy way to get out of it heh.

But for the most part, I enjoy my driving and driving my friends around can be quite fun and often hilarity ensues cause we're a ridiculous bunch.
