And Just the Driver, Generally!

Despite the revolting impacts on the environment, I used to love to drive. Be that drive like a demon to get the carpool in on time, or the associated reverse parking into impossible spots, or the long haul drives on trips.

So really, it's no surprise that I frequently liked to be the non-drinking person, so that I could drive! Plus, it's nice being able to take responsibility for your friends and make sure that they're safe and no-one gets into trouble. A clear head is always useful for that!

i too am a driver at heart ... any time i had something on my mind; good, bad or indifferent i would take a drive. i refer to it as 'windshield therapy.' unfortunately, with age i became conscious of the affects on this world and cut back my 'therapy' sessions considerably. not long after the exorbitant price of fuel forced me to give up these 'sessions' entirely. i simply can't justify it. however, i'm always happy to be the DD for friends or family. something about being the DD gives me a sense of altruism ... kind of.

I love driving too, especially if I'm in control of the music picking! I've never been the designated driver though. Haha, I always end up pleading with someone else to take that role. This is usually because I rarely go out and drink. Ya know? Aw, but that's really sweet that you want to take care of your friends and make sure they're safe! =D
