I have been told by my parents my entire life that I have not lived up to their expectations. They do not appreciate anything I do, and they tell me just how little they appreciate me on a daily basis, no matter the effort I put forth to impress them. They love hitting me -not just with words- for the simplest of things. I have been choked, and beaten into a corner, and so much more, that it has all just meshed with the good in my life, forming a massive blob of neutralism.

    are you still making do? the kind of treatment you get could turn you into an angry hating spout

      I am just fine, and I do get angry, but I only get angry after really bad stuff.

    You will never find happiness with them. Learn to find happiness within yourself. They are who they are. You be who you're going to be-- hopefully, somewhere separate from the negativity.
