I Was Betrayed

I saved their life when they wanted to die

I wiped their tears away when they cried

I put a smile on their face when they were sad

I guided them to the light at the end of the tunnel

I offered help when they did not know what to eat

I gave strengh when they were abused by their family

I showed some pages of my life as a sign of trust

 

I gave love, friendship, support, respect and my honesty.

I didn’t ask much, all I wanted it was respect and honesty.

But all I got it was a knife stabbed in my back.

 

I don’t hate them, I forgave them and I gave a second chance.

    Since I don't have any details of this story, I can't say what I might think about you forgiving them...but, after all, that is essentially your decision. But as for the second chance....? WHY??!!!

    This was some months ago . You express yrself so wll. There was bitterness ans disappointment but you forgave them. I hope yr heart was not broken, just dented a bit

    You have a good heart, I also forgive people and try to understand why they act in a certain way. I always give second, third and fourth chance,coz I believe in the inner goodness of the humans,and especially when those people are very close to me.

    Forgiving someone is the best thing you can do for yourself even if they don't respond to it. Holding on to the hurt and anger gives them continued power over you. I believe in second chances since I've been given more than I deserve!
