    Hi Sandra. It sounds like that on the surface, we have had similar experiences with CP. It seems to me that those of us who can walk, but that have a very obvious walking gait have a range of emotional issues we have to work though that others don't. I personally was so glad I didn't need a wheelchair and could function well enough, but so wished I didn't have to look different when I was young. BUT, I refused the operations that had a chance to make me look "normal" because I could function. I just live my life now. I refuse to take time out of what is a pretty good life and put myself though pain just so someone else could be more comfortable passing me on the street.

    i understand what you are going through i also have CP but unlike you i have to use a wheelchair but i am very independent i get around on my own with crutches i live on my own and i also drive when i was younger i wanted to be as "normal" as possible i wanted to fit in just like any other teenager but seeing the odvious that was kind of difficult after a while i just stopped caring about what others thought and stop trying to find in cause i knew i was made to stand out

    Hi, I can reallly relate to what you have experienced. I have CP and have a similar difficulty walking.
