i WAS BORN IN 1961 WITH SPINA BIFTA. THE DOCTORS TOLD MY  FOLKS TO PUT ME IN A INSATUSION AND LET ME DIE , BECAUSE I WOULD

NOT LIVE MORE THAN EIGHT YEARS ANYWAY, I WOULD NEVER WALK; OR TALK, NEVER LEARN ANYTHING , THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE WITH ME

ALL THE TIME.  I WOULD NEVER BE ANY THING  BUT A BURDEN TO THEM . BUT I WAS BORN TO SOME GREAT PARENTS, THEY WOULDNT

EVEN THINK ABOUT IT I WAS THERE CHILD, AND HOW EVER LONG I LIVED I WOULD BE LOVED AND HAPPY. I DID LEARN TO WALK ; WITHOUT

ANY BRACES OR CRUCHES, I DO HAVE A BAD LEG AND FOOT , I LOSE MY BALANCE A LOT.  AND THE PROBLEMS JUST ABOUT WE ALL HAVE

WITH THE BLATTER AND BOWELS TO . IT USE TO BOTHER ME ALOT , BUT NOT ANYMORE , THE DAY I STOPED CAREING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE

THOUGHT ABOUT MEIS THE DAY MY LIFE GOT BETTER, THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF MYSELF, OR HAVE A

JOB. I WENT TO WORK RIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL, I DONE  EVERY THING  THAT HAS TO DO WITH BUILDING , BUT I HAD TO GO ON  DISABILATY

. BECAUSE OF MY KIDNEYS AND BACK, DIDNT LIKE IT TO MUCH.  AND I HAVE LIVED ON MY OWN FOR 25 YEARS. I NEVER GO MARRIED

OR HAD KIDS, BUT ALL THOSE DOCTORS THAT SAID I WOULD EVER BE ANY THING , WELL I LIVED FOURTY YEARS LONGER THAN

SAID I WOULD. WELL THATS MY STORY, I LOVE MY FAMAILY MY FREINDS, AND I HOPE I MAKE NEW ONES HERE. I DONT HAVE FRINDS

    Hi l was born in 1966 and my parents were told that i would never walk well apart from a slight limp l can walk just fine i was also told that i would never be able to have a family & l have 3 lovely boys a few years ago l started to feel pain in my back which has got worse as the years have gone on but l have got this far proving doctors wrong & intend to be doing so for many years to come sometimes doctors get it wrong .

    i sure do wish they had a site lik this fourty years ago . i thought every one was born with spina bifta,

    till i was around 13years old . boy it would have helped me alot , back in the sixtys you never heard of

    a group of people how wou;d even think about talking about there childen being diffentt than others;

    but it all worked out i think, at least i hope it did , i hade i have some great parents , i was always told if

    i thought i could it nomatter what it was, they would be there to help in anyway, but they tought me that

    everybody feals at one time are another, and that i would have to learn, if i love doing something, just

    do it the best i could. like i said i have some great parents. anybody needs to talk to me about anything im here off and on chuck or intarsa
