I Was Home Schooled

Not Me...

I wasn't personally home schooled. I went to a normal public school but i got pregnant when i was a freshman in high school. I did finish high school but my son is now 2 years old. His father and i have discussed home schooling him. but i would like others inputs on home schooling? did you like it or not? what did you have to do each day? should i do this to my son or not? I feel like home schooling is a lot safer but i also don't want to trap him in the house all day every day & leave him with no friends & being extremely shy. I am shy yet i went to school but i have friends. I want him to play sports & make friends...when your homeschooled do they allow you to play sports or how does that work? Please any advice or help is much appreciated.!!

    I have a good friend who was home schooled. There are disadvantages to it like....difficulty getting into college....they tend to have less friends due to limited interaction & socializing with their peers.

    When home schooled the only sports you can play are those offered in leagues. Who's going to be teaching him? Most parents who home school their kids are educators. Why not let your child go to school? How is it not safe? He needs to be around kids his age so he can socially & maturely develop properly. It would be different if there were other children at home but being alone all day stuck in the house...can't be all that healthy. Most kids are friends with those they know from school...he'll have nobody.

      I know and that is exactly why I don't really want to do it...but idk i just don't want to send him to school because these days there are SO many school shootings & that scares me. but everytime i tell someone that they always say well that could happen anywhere & i understand that i really do. and i would be teaching him. but i'm sure i will end up just putting him in school. so he can have friends

      Having friends makes a huge difference and will determine what kind of person you'll be & what kind of future you'll have.
