Some Good Did Come From This.

I was 16 at the time. I was driving to Blue Mountain (not actually a mountain, but the closest we get to mountains in ON) with my girlfriend. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were looking forward to doing some biking there (downhill for me, crosscountry for her), but as we were passing through Wasaga Beach, I ran a red light without realizing it and got hit in the passenger's side by someone turning left on a protected green. Total damage to the truck was $12,000 roughly, plus 4 new tires, but nobody was hurt, except perhaps my confidence temporarily. Surprisingly, my bike stayed in the box the whole time, completely untouched. Needless to say, I didn't feel like biking after that.

It was a costly mistake, but I have not caused a collision since then. My skills have improved greatly since then, and I want to get my AZ licence (transport truck).
