God's Greatest Gift....children

I"m not sure if is the right group, but I just wanted to write this so I will have it for myself.....

This last weekend....Valentines day weekend.......I had to work on saturday....my wife, being the kind hearted person she is offered for us to "baby sit" on of our daughters best friends from her prior school before we moved to the burbs and the little girls 14 yr old brother.........I love kids and because of how I feel about Kids, i also try to do whatever I can for all kids......but it was Valentines day and I wanted 1.) to do something with the Wife and 2) I wanted to really do something special with my 10 yr old........seems I got my wish...I picked them up on Friday afternoon after attending my daughters school valenting party (their parents were going to N. Orleans, it was the first time they had ever left their kids for more than 1 night).  The children are Native American....the 10 yr old daughter is in  beauty pageants and is an absolute doll! and the boy, 14 is a truly joyful, respectful young man.......they have been to our house many times for cookouts, etc.....so we knew them well.........We took them to eat Italian food Friday night and then went to a small Gelotto store for desert......I worked Saturday up until about 3:30....during this time my wife, our daughter and the other little girl and went and got pedicures......my wife took the boy over to his house on the way to the spa so he could feed their pets and I picked him up about an hour later.......we came home and I grilled steaks, chicken, etc.......then the girls all played the Wi while the boy and I watched movies in our theatre....room.......he is a good boy and we bantered back and forth........late that night we all went and TP'd a few of the neighbors houses ( I owed a few payback as we had been tp'd like 3 times!)........Sunday we took them to a small airport restaurant for oreo pancakes, etc....then we went to a working ranch near our house that has a barn owned by a freakin bizzionaire.......one of his hobbies is that he has clydesdales that are part of rodeos, parades ,etc.....the only bigger/more well know clydesdale are the budweiser horses, these however are black and white.......you can go to the barn and see them every day for free.......the girl at the barn knows us by name as my daughter just loves animals....after that it was time to take them home....so after they packed up their stuff, the wife and I handed everyone their own set of "halloween gold/blling ganster teeth", we all put on hats (sideways of course)...put in our teeth and then proceeded to get strange looks all the way to their house, of course laughing our ***** off........we got to their house their dad came to the door and just busted out laughing..........we said our goodbyes....told them how good the kids were etc and were heading back to the car when I heard "Cap wait".......first the little came and gave me a heartfelt hug,,,,,it touched my heart!......then the boy did the same! (I'm crying as I write this as I can't tell how that made me feel......I can't believe a 14 yr old boy, even if he felt that way would do that.......I don't know what to say except that I hope someday I can give someone the feeling those kids gave me......I take it as the ultimate compliment).......so, this may have been one of the best valentine days ever..........I"ve said it many times before..........I"m truly a lucky man..........
