I Love This Show

Bryan Cranston got Best Dramatic Male Lead at the Emmy's last year for the first season of Breaking Bad. Last night was the first episode of the new 2nd season. I love the writing, so real, so dark, so twisted and funny. I can't wait for the next episode, a week is so long. I wish it was 2 hours each episode so they could do even more details on all the tangents and microthreads throughout the series. Each episode is so crammed packed with stuff that makes you say "Aw ****!" Some characters, like Jesse, are just so funny.

The whole cast is great, each one fulfilling their role so believeably you'd think that's what each of them is really like. I read a blog about a fan who went to Albuquerque to watch the filming on location and drove by the meth motel.

The concept is of a humble, upstanding high school science teacher deciding to Break Bad at 50 years old and use his considerable knowledge to profit in a very dark realm making the best meth available. His motivation is to provide for his family after his inevitable demise. His late-thirty-something pregnant wife knows something's up but not the details. He tried to hide his lung cancer but the family got involved. I can't wait to see how they're going to develop this season, I'm hooked already.

AND a year later, we are about to begin season 3 on March 21st, 2010...I think. It is one of the best shows these days. The writing is excellent. The acting continues to collect Emmy Awards. Just can't wait till the new season begins.

I can't believe there's only 2 episodes left of the season, already! SUCH a great show, best on tv out of a small group that I always watch. Rescue Me is also well written.

AMC will have it repeated before next Sunday's episode. Soooo much going on! Let me know when you see it. :)

Ah I LOVE this show!!! Damn - I missed the first episode. I love the actors - whoever is not watching - needs tp watch this.
