In The Rain , Top Down.

            In the rain, top down.

I just caught this on Mythbusters.
If you drive at high speed with the top down in the rain, you stay dry.
How come? The rain in front of you is coming down. You are driving into it at high speed. The rain hits the windshield and is forced by air pressure up the windshield and deflected way over your head, As long as you keep moving forrward at high speed no rain falls on you. You remain dry
I didn't know that.

    I saw that episode of Mythbusters too. I was very surprised! I love that show.

    I'd think it would be like when you drive a motorcycle in the rain; little needles hitting your face. Interesting piece of information. My kids watch that show all the time. Great show.

      I have a son with Asperber's syndrome that is obsessed with shows like that and English comedy, so he keeps me up on new scientific stuff.

      I can remember cycling on wet windy days, I did a lot of cycling in my early teenage years.
      I remember how, on windy days I used to feel as though the wind was deliberately blowing against me just to make me late, wether for school or work. Strange the notions that flit through our minds.
