Better Than Fiction

Documentaries make up the bulk of my TV time.  The major networks barely interest me anymore.  I watch the Travel Channel, History Channel, the Food Network, PBS, Create, History International, & local university broadcasts.  Since I love to travel, i mostly enjoy 'No Reservations', Rachel Ray's travelling programmes, & everything with Samantha Brown.  (Right now I'm watching 'Diners, Drive-in, and Dives.')  I was facinated with 'Weird Travels', which covered haunted locales.  Now more documentaries on hauntings are popping up. One show I really miss is 'Insomniac', in which comedian Dave Atell gave a nighttime tour of a different city each week.  Not only are these entertaining but useful for when I travel.

Right. It's the personality of the host which draws me in & holds me; such as Guy Fieri (Drive ins, Diners, and Dives), Duff Goldman (Ace of Cakes), Rachel Ray ($40 a Day), Dave Atell (Insomniac), Mark DiCarlo (America Eats), ....

I like the channels and shows you focus on. I use DVR to record Samantha Brown and a few other travel programs. I love Samantha's sunny personality best among all travel program hosts.
