I went through a wtf? moment early in the movie, because I'd never seen anything like it before. Once I settled down though I was very impressed. An original story, very well told.

No spoilers here...go watch it!

Who's Alvin?

I have been focusing on my vocals just for the ocassion. I can moan, oops I mean sing a great Alvin impersonation. lol

Yes, and you noticed how Peter Jackson cleverly tried to take credit for the movie?
FG: Yay, chipmunks!

Ok, I just got a WTF by reading that Doggone post.
Yeah, it was good. The directing made the movie. Otherwise it would have been a total embarrassment to human civilization, no pun intended.
The social innuendos were very crafty, yet somewhat oversimplified.
I enjoyed it..

Doggone it. I was going to invite you to watch it with me and now you went and saw it before me. lol. I guess we will just have to see the Chipmunk Movie instead.

It wasn't what I expected. I picked it up for movie night with my kids. :) After about 20 minutes, I fast forward until I saw what looked like the movie to me. We all liked it, and will try to watch it again from the beginning. Napoleon Dyanamite was the same for us. The first time we watched it, we thought WTF? . We spent $20 on that, but decided to watch it again the next night, and laughed our ***** off. So maybe District 9 will win our favor 2nd time around.
