Mainly for Work

I work as a Dental Receptionist in a UK Practice. Whilst the practice nurses have a corporate uniform, I wear my own clothes for which I have a small allowance. Although I didn't really think about it until I read this post, most of my work-wear and quite a bit of my normal clothes tend to be black also. For work, I tend to wear a skirt suit which is a matching knee length skirt and jacket usually teamed with a white, blue or striped blouse. For a change, I'll wear  a dress but again I'll team it with a black jacket. Today, I'm wearing a burgundy dress with a black jacket (not the suit jacket), sometimes I'll wear a navy blue dress instead.

I don't tend to wear these clothes off duty but I still have about half a dozen black skirts, pencil, pleated and a button through midi, and a couple of little black dresses, tops and cardigans, though I don't usually wear all black but team my skirts with a different coloured top. I even have a black mackintosh somewhere but that only tends to be used on sombre occasions.  I don't wear much black off duty during the summer time, but tend to wear brighter colours. Strangely perhaps, I have very little black underwear, a couple of bra and brief sets and a half slip. Everything else is white.
