I Wear Bowties...

...have may photos of me as a child dressed for church and I am wearing a sport jacket and a bowtie.  As I got into my teens I chose to wear clip on ties.  In 1974 bowties seemed to be making a comeback and so being interested in fashion, I purchased one, then two then three....Since then, I have almost exclusively worn bowties to the office.  Funny, people notice when I wear a long tie.

    I'm right in there with the Bowtieguy and another person. It seems that I don't look right when I'm not wearing a bow tie with my dress clothing. While I make my livelihood as a gardener/laborer and wearing dress clothing would be so out of place where I work, I literally get cleaned up and get properly dressed when off work. The only other time I will deviate from this is if I have a project where good clothes would be inappropriate due to getting ripped etc.

    In all cases, but especially when looking for a new job (wearing a bow tie on the job will be priority 1), I feel I just don't look right or even command a respectful look from others unless I'm dressed up. If I get to wear my tuxedo in addition, then I really feel great about dressing up.

    That is a fun story, people give me ahard time if I am not weaing a bowtie too. that is how used to seeing me in one they are.
